26th International Cave Bear Symposium 2021
The 26th International Cave Bear Symposium (ICBS) was postponed due to Corona and will be held from September 30th to October 3rd 2021 in Mannheim in connection to the Exhibition “Ice Age Safari”. The meeting will take place in Germany for the fourth time. All researchers and interested parties are invited to participate, either with a talk, poster or as audience. Topics include contributions to research on the Cave Bear (Ursus spelaeus) and related items. In addition to lectures and poster presentations, attractive excursions are scheduled. Lectures will be held in English. Immediately before the ICBS, the rem are hosting a lecture day in honour of researcher Karl Friedrich Schimper (1803-1867), who was born in Mannheim and – among other merits - first brought up the term “Eiszeit” in German research.
